I’ve been running this at least once per day since it arrived, sometimes twice . I’ve had it a few weeks and it continues to create a tiny mass of dry dirt 6 hours or fewer after I load it full with kitchen scraps. It does what it claims to do so far! Don’t put the dirt directly on house plants. I did once and in a day or two the room smelled like beer. It needs to process in the yard – get some rain, mingle with yard dirt….not sure what it needs to overcome the fermented smell. I accused my 14year old son of drinking in the room. Poor dear. It doesn’t stink in the bucket- when it composts it smells a little like roasted coffee or something, nothing overpowering. It’s after it gets dampened once you’ve emptied it somewhere that you might smell a fermented odor. I’m pretty pleased with it.
Update: April 19th –
About 2 weeks ago this machine started having trouble fully composting. It would dry everything out and shrink it all down like always, but the composted materials would get stuck to the moving parts at the bottom of the bucket. It took a bit of trouble to clean when it used to practically clean itself. Every day it gets worse. The last few times I used it, the machine struggled to keep the compost moving and it all got glommed into a dense dry brick. It took forever to get it out. I had to add warm water and let it soak for hours before I could get the compost free so the blade arms would move again. It doesn’t do what it’s made to do anymore. The scraps I use haven’t changed. I put the same things in every day: banana peels, orange peels, melon rind, juicing pulp, etc… I’m very dissapointed because it worked great for a couple of months and it seems to have lost its ability.

I’ve had other composters, this one was delivered quickly, and out preforms the others by 101%. No odors, has a cleaning cycle, can’t say enough. LOVE IT.

I’m really glad I decided to fork over the cash and grab this product for a couple reasons.
1. Because I started my first garden. Then the near 280 i spent on this will pay for itself over time as I’m not constantly spending on fancy soils and fertilizers.
2. Using the in-sink garbage disposal is just all around bad. It’s bad for the pipes in your house, bad for the environment, and you are wasting good scraps that turn into the best compost fertilizer you will ever use!
It is a truly amaIng product and I am glad I found an open space on the counter for it!
My biggest reservation before buying was “IS IT GOING TO SMELL” well I’ve used the heck outta this thing for 3 days now and I promise there is no smell at all. Next question I was wondering if it would be loud. That wouldn’t be a deal breaker but in case someone was sleeping I promise you they would stay asleep as it is very quiet!
My ocd sometimes prevents me from getting a product if they do not have certain colors or simply by its looks. The neutral factory color and sleekness eased that ocd and the product fits very well matching everything else and it looks really really SLEEK in the kitchen. Next to the fancy microwave it’s the nicest looking product in my kitchen!
My last worry was the size. I used the description measurements to ensure everything would fit but without the product sitting on the counter you really can’t get a proper visual of how things would actually look. The product fits great, depth was the worry and it is truly compact to where it is no where close to being an issue.
Overall i highly recommend adding this product into your kitchen, especially if you have a garden on your property. The ease of use and the return of compost you get for the garden is second to none! It’s definitely worth the cost and again it pays for itself in a short amount of time!!

I did a ton of Research on the best tabletop composting models and was leaning towards a Lomi or Airthereal initially. I saw the flash sale for the fulan and the great reviews, so I thought I’d take a chance and see how it is. It came neatly and carefully packaged with charcoal pellets included. The charcoal isn’t specific, so I like the fact that I can order what charcoal is cheapest when I need to replace it in a few months rather than being forced to buy model specific pellets.
I’ve had this at home for a few weeks now and this little guy works like a charm! I fill it to the brim, even pack it in a little, and it churns put 1/3 of the volume in dirt/compost. The dryness really depends on how much water goes in initially. So all green kitchen scraps will be dusty/powdery, any cooked food waste will be more packable like snowballs, but still on the dryer side. I’ve been putting it my vegetable garden and the tomatoes have doubled in height and fruiting flowers! It’s super easy to use with an automatic weighing function that estimates how much time it will take. Since I usually fill it fully it can take 5-6 hours, but we run it at least 2x day since we cook at home most of the time. The self-cleaning function is also a godsend for removing crusty/stuck-on stuff. The rotor that churns the waste can emit an occasional groan but its mostly white noise like a dishwasher, and there isn’t any smell that comes out due to the charcoal, so its not intrusive.
It looks great and matches the other major appliances. It also has a larger capacity for waste than some of the other models and brands out there. Very happy with this purchase so far!

I’ve always wanted an electric composter. This one is perfect! Amazing how it reduces my food scraps and coffee grounds to concentrated compost material to add to my soil. It even breaks down chicken bones and the cobs from corn on the cob! Definitely worth the money. Wish I had bought this sooner! Super easy to use.
