This is useful during the cold season but it works only for some plants, not for all. My curry leave plants did reasonably well, but all my Thai hot pepper plants didn’t survive indoors under this grow lights. I guess it’s a learning lesson to know the types of plants that will thrive with it and those that won’t.

They work very well and can plug into any lamp. They also look just like a regular light

These lights seem to be pretty legit. They’re well made, at least for the price they cost. They have a nice, strong clip, which works well. I wish it had a better cable catch on it, the one that came on mine is a bit too small to hold both the wires off the plants, but you can make it work with a little ingenuity. I have been alternating between the purple lights and the 2nd light setting. I’ve got a houseplant from ikea, an evergreen, cactus and money tree. I’ve seen new growth on all the plants. I wish my place was bigger and nicer so I could do more with my space but my apartment is small. These lights are good for anyone trying to grow plants indoors, for whatever reason. I have these under a window, so they do get some supplemental sunlight but if they didn’t have that, I think the lights would be enough on their own to completely satisfy the plants needs for light. ✌🏼✌🏼✌🏼

These lights are as bright as the sun. I put it in my bathroom for my plants as we don’t have a window in there and the light from these is very bright but not in a bad way that makes you look ugly I really like them

I’ve been growing plants indoors for a couple of years, and these are the best grow bulbs I’ve used. They work close up for seedlings (about 10-12″), and adult plants (about 1-1.5′); especially, succulents, which love sun, but not necessarily the high temps of a desert heat wave. I really like that they are full spectrum, and fit a normal socket, like a regular light bulb. I’ve been using them for about 3mos, and have haven’t had any problems. I highly recommend these grow lights.

I left 2 mojito mint plants out in the sun without water for a little too long. When I discovered them yesterday they were barely hanging on. I heavily watered them, misted their leaves and put them under this light. This morning it was like a miracle had occurred – they now look like this! I swear they not only revived but sprouted more green buds overnight and throughout today.

Update: I’ve been using 2 of the 3 bulbs I purchased roughly 6-8 hours a day for about 10 days, and one of them has already failed. I was happy with the results I was getting, but these bulbs are too expensive for that kind of rapid fail rate. Hopefully, I can find a brick and mortar grow center where I can buy a more reliable product.
Original post: I’ve never used a grow light because, prior to now, I’ve been living in places that are warm and sunny mostly year round. Honestly, I didn’t know what to expect. It seemed too good to be true that you could turn a regular lamp into a grow light so easily, but I figured it was worth a try. I just bought some seedlings from the farmer’s market 4 days ago and decided to test out my new grow lights on them. I put my plants on the ledge of my fireplace and screwed the bulbs into the lamps that are about 18-24 inches above it.. They’ve only been under the lights for a total of two days (two days!!!), but the amount of growth is truly impressive. Moreover, they look so healthy and happy. I wish I’d thought to take before and after pics. Next I want to try growing directly from seed.
