My dad really wanted one, so I gave him it early for Father’s Day so he could get to using it. He said it was easy to set up and he uses it all the time now, keep in mind you are tossing in old food so have a spot away from things because it attracts fruit flies like crazy(but given the nature of what’s in there that makes sense).

Rated a 4 because it just arrived/built today and havent used it yet, moderately easy build, hard plastic with redundancy to strengthen the unit.
Should have a Phillips screwdriver nearby because the supplied tool wears quickly, a rubber mallet hammer isn’t really necessary but makes construction easier.
The little clips connecting the panels were probably the most difficult in the process but not a deal breaker, all parts were in the box. (Should include an extra of the smaller screws just in case of butter fingers).
A bit pricey compared to other 37 & 43# compost bins, would be helpful if what you can and shouldn’t insert into your bin list was included…..
Hopefully the metal frame can actually handle 45# of weight, maybe an update on the stars ⭐ up or down, time and usage will tell….

The design of the tumblers is really quite elegant. Everything is clearly designed to go together one way, and at the same time they are ambidextrous. So long as you have the right type of panel, it doesn’t matter the order or which side of the wheel it inserts. It seals well enough, yet has tiny areas where air can get in and ventilate the compost. As wonderful as the engineering is for the drums, the same cannot be said for the stand. It “snaps” together with loose-fitting pop buttons, some of which could not fully extend through their holes. I solved that by drilling out the holes and using bolts to put the frame together. No more wobbling. The other issue is where the axle for the drums (soon to be heavy with compost) attach to the frame. They simply use a bolt to hold one round tube onto another round tube at 90 degrees. Absolutely functional, but the weakest way to attach them. The strain will eventually wear the holes out of round and it will wobble. I had a couple of rounded “saddles” which provided the necessary fixation of the joint.
Really nice unit and well worth the money, however fix those two items and it would be a much better product.

This thing is cheap, in cost and material, the legs are very flemsy and the plastic it’s made of tries to pull apart when you fill it up, I would spend more money for something stronger next time.

After reviewing several choices, I bought this (45 Gal) a few days ago for my wife who wanted to start composting. The instructions are not as clear as they could be, but it was not difficult. She and I were able to put it together in about 45 minutes. It seems sturdy enough, but time will tell. So far I will rate it a 4 star, but will repost after a few weeks of use. At this point I would recommend it. Also, a rubber hammer will assist in construction.
