Except for the lid, the compost bin assembled easily as shown in the directions and the video posted on Amazon. The problem with the lid was that the four hinges would not push into the slots easily as shown in the video. In the process of pressing the hinges in place, one broke. The lid raises and lowers as it should, but it is only attached by three of the four hinges. Other than the problem I had with the lid, the compost bin looks like it will work fine and help make my garden look neater.

This took me no time to assemble! The only tiny issue I ran into was putting the lid on and I was only having problems because I did not push down hard enough on it. I have really enjoyed it!

easy to assemby – yes just snaps together like a puzzle
sturdiness – not quite after some use the base starts to stretch from use – the grass and leaves have a tendency to generate a lot of heat up to 150 degrees anybody who makes compost piles know this.
but it does keep the grass and other decomposing items in a tidy order for small yards under half and acre
lock feature ? is there a lock feature? it just has a snap shut lid on top and a slide up panal to get the the decomposted material at the base.

Easy to put together. Not very sturdy once assembled. Had to use a couple of adjustable straps to square it up.
The seams seem to be stressed once the bin gets filled.

This was easy to assemble and get started composting. I’ve only had it a couple weeks, so I can’t comment on its longevity, but I am quite happy with it so far.
