My first impression of this Gardening Apron, when I took it out of the package and tried it on: brilliant design, excellent fabric and so, so practical in every way! It’s like the manufacturer had me in mind when they designed this apron. Let me tell you why…
We have had a good-sized vegetable garden for several years now. I can’t tell you how many times I have gone out to work on the garden with my arms full of gardening tools, including spray bottles and shears, just to find a place to lay them while I’m doing my thing. Or worse, making several trips to the garage for something I forgot. And then there’s the harvesting…. I have used several shirts and dresses, makeshift hammocks of sorts, to carry vegetables into the house. That’s when I forget to bring a bucket outside with me, to harvest more than I had thought were ready to be picked. You see where I’m going here?
This apron has two pockets that can each hold a spray bottle or a gardening shovel or shears, and they are always right there with me to use. I know where they are, not misplacing them or accidentally leaving them out in the rain. The big pocket can hold so much when harvesting, and the bottom opens up to make it easier to empty the contents of the pocket. The smaller pocket can hold things like a cell phone, although it’s a good deal bigger than that. It is so easy to put on, and once you adjust the tension on the straps, just snap it together in back and you’re ready to go! I wish I could give this apron 10 stars, but instead, I’ll just say that if you want to make gardening (or whatever you use this for) easier, I encourage you to get this apron!

It will be some time before I can use this apron for harvesting, it’s still too cold to plant here. However, I can say the apron is very well made, easy to put on and adjustable.
The long pockets can hold a trowel or scissors or whatever hand tool you take with you for harvesting. There is shallower top pocket for smaller items or a phone, for people who have to be connected, even in the peaceful garden.
The large, harvest pouch is large enough to carry the amount I would be harvesting at one time. The clips release easily, yet hold firmly. No worries of dumping your load on the walk home.
Wearing this will make picking apples and plums easier than when I have to bend over to put them in a bucket. Just hand them down into the pouch.
It would be great for shopping for a few items, but I think that might be frowned upon.

My mom has a more expensive version and brand of this apron, which I got addicted to. I love having my bucket with me, for harvesting or weeding. I ended up using it whenever I could, so figured I would try this cheaper one. Comparing the two the fabric feels a little thinner on this one, but still plenty tough for the job. The bag is about the same size and works well. This one has some side pockets which the one my mom has doesn’t. That can be nice, but it could be easy to accidentally drop your tools as you empty things if you are not paying attention. When I super stuffed it with weeds, the weeds did start to bulge out of the bottom, see pic, but didn’t fall through. I am more concerned that part of the bottom bag is attached with velcro which means if you are using the bag for real dirty things like weeds it might stop working. So far that hasn’t happened, but I haven’t used it a lot yet. It is an odd design as a large portion of the bag’s bottom is attached with buckles similar to the other apron. I like that, but wonder why they added Velcro. I found when emptying the bag, I ended up opening some of the Velcro part, so it will be opened and exposed to dirt pretty regularly. I love the whole concept of this style apron and am happy not to constantly be borrowing my mom’s, but do wonder how long it will last. Overall, for the price I am happy with it.

the material is thick and sturdy and the apron is great for gathering a harvest…but my plants didnt do so well this summer so I have not gotten to use it as much has I would like. all in all this is a solid addition to your gardening tool kit

I love the idea of this apron; it’s like the grown up version of using my shirt front to awkwardly collect the things I pick. I use the side pockets to hold a garden knife and clippers, which works out great when I’m trudging through brush hunting for mushrooms. The bottom of the apron opens to empty, which seems kind of extra, but it does make things a little easier to manage, so I’m not complaining. The only complaint I do have is I wish the straps were a little wider. The straps are the ‘cheapest’ aspect of the apron and can kinda cut into my shoulders and back when the apron carries any weight (which I tested with a water bottle, as its a little early to harvest anything substantial). I’d also say, that it’s not the most attractive article to wear, but that doesn’t affect functionality.
