If you look at the basic diagrams and can read through the poorly written instructions, you’ll whip through it slowly in a couple of hours.
Frankly, I didn’t want to purchase it because I had to assemble the pup and don’t consider myself a handyman. However, I used my portable drill/screwdriver and made the task easier.
Personally, I threw out the center panel. It’s worthless and will slow down the decomposition process. And don’t buy anything to speed up the process. If you really want to do so, run down and buy a bag of manure and add a few quarts of it to the mix. Get everything nice and wet and remember to rotate the unit several times a week. The decomposition trick is really in the turning of the compost. The manure will provide the nitrogen to accelerate the breakdown of the stuff. Once you get it started (and it starts within a few days, especially if you add grass clippings, cardboard, coffee grounds, etc) you’ll have high quality compost for your garden.
Be warned: the compost will have to “cool”, so make a tea using 2 cups of compost to a 5 gallon bucket of dechlorinated water (let the water stand 24 hours before mixing) and then use the mix for the garden.
Have fun. Gardening/farming is a blast. Learn the lyrics to Green Acres and sing with gusto. Or Gustavo. Your choice.

Very sturdy and well built made of hard plastic. I actually love it but gave it 4.5 out of 5 as it is a little hard to assemble the center divider and instructions are vague but i managed somehow. The other parts are easy to assemble. If u dont need a divider then this would be easy peasy to install. Does its job well. Would recommend for avid gardeners.

Easy to use, fill, rotate. So much better and easier then traditional ground composting. Live I have two sides, so I can have a batch to use while I start a new one

Great product, easier to assemble with two people but very easy to do.

I was hesitant to get this due to people claiming that it was confusing to put together. However, this is the most affordable large size composter I could find, so I got one. I put it together today in about 30 minutes. There is an easy to understand instruction booklet that has both images and clear written instructions. Additionally. There are not many parts at all and there is only ONE way that most things can go, so this is absolutely not a confusing puzzle. I don’t understand how some people had such a hard time with this, but I assure you it’s not complicated. The only challenge is if you’re alone and trying to reach through the inside to put the nuts and bolts together after the barrel is more than half complete.

This compost bin is assembled fairly easily with an electric screwdriver. Total assembly time was close to 20 minutes by myself.

The instructions are not the most thorough, but if you’ve every assembled anything before, it’s pretty easy to follow. Having a second person is helpful for part of it, but not necessary for the majority.
It feels like a nice and sturdy bin, and the turning has never been easier. I love being able to turn food waste into something beneficial. Overall a great product, definitely recommend!

Easy to build and simple to use

It wasn’t hard to assemble, just time consuming. Its cheap, so I knew it would be flimsy, but I was looking for something to put under a deck out of the way and it does work. As others have said, the doors are too small, its a pain to put waste into. My inside compost bucket has a wider opening, so you need to line it up good or your start spilling it on the outside of the bin. Also a turning handle would be great, but it works without one.
